Fort Worth: - Ruth P. Van Tine, 84, a retired teacher for the Fort Worth school district, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1997, at home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of the Chimes in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park.
Ruth P. Van Tine was born Sept. 14, 1913, in Sedalia, Mo.
She had been a Fort Worth resident for 43 years and was a TCU and North Texas School of Law graduate. She had worked as a lease specialist for Gulf Oil Co. and the California Co. in New Orleans. She had taught at Bruce Shulkey Elementary School for seven years and was a volunteer for Harris Methodist Hospital. Mrs. Van Tine was an avid Cowboys fan.
